It may be hard to believe that yesterday’s dignified “Charles” and today’s “goofy Charlie” are the same but it shows a strength of character and an ability to change “natural behaviour” to suit the situation he is in.
For examble he has the ability to serious harm or even kill Chloe (or the other small farmily members) but he treats her like a sister.
A little lesson for humanity perhaps.

Just finished your book. Have to say that after years of watching these animals, it is refreshing to hear people with the same feeling for these adaptable creatures as I have. You aren’t humanizing these wild creatures, but your words and pictures clearly capture what I recognize as the form of the coyote. Best of luck to you and Charlie!
