Poetry turned out to be the theme of the day.\u00a0 From Dr. Seuss to Shakespeare, from holiday carols to popular song lyrics, I was captivated by the poetry this image inspired and which so many of you recited in the comments ~<\/p>\n

\u201cStopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost was most-quoted:
\nWhose woods these are I think I know….
\n…Of easy wind and downy flake….
\nThe woods are lovely, dark and deep
\nBut I have promises to keep,
\nAnd miles to go before I sleep….<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Also from Frost:
\nTwo roads diverged in a wood, and I \u2014
\nI took the ‘one less traveled’ by,
\nAnd that has made all the difference.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Emerson:

Dr. Suess:

\n<\/span> What if Christmas, perhaps means a little bit more<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\nCoyote is a survivor\/I reckon he’s got to be\/He lives in the snow at forty below\/Or in Malibu by the sea<\/span><\/em> – <\/em>“The Coyote and the Cowboy” by Ian Tyson<\/p>\n

And the winner: <\/strong>Doug<\/strong><\/a>, I chose your words.\u00a0 After I decided to use them for the title of this photo, I googled them, to see if they were quoted and nothing came up, so I believe they are your own. I love them, and they speak to me in the most significant way right now.<\/p>\n
