AAAAHHHHHHHHHH! You guys and gals are TOO GOOD!

Comments here are so awesome. I had SUCH a hard time narrowing it it down. That’s why it’s taken me half the day to post the winner. Next time I might just have to send one squid to everyone who enters so I’m not put through the torment of having to choose. But that would make for a REAAALY long photo title….

Hat’s off to:

“Coyote Up” – nice play on “cowboy up”

(you city folk might not know this sayin’)

“Coyote on a ‘hot ten’ roof” – why, THANK YOU!

“Never been to these parts” – I can just hear it being said – love it!

“Furdora” and “Pupadour”

two of the many brilliant plays on hair and headwear…

And, zee winner is Charlotte. To quote from one of my favorite movies, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels: All I can say is WOW! I love the incongruous image of a dainty pairing of hat + gloves with the rough and rustic elements of this shot (many of you were so kind to point out my crooked part! Ha.) And the play on words is supremely clever.

You all are the best audience and participants a girl could hope for ~

round of applause coming from me to you.

• • •

Better than a ten gallon hat, better, even, than a five dollar stetson,

is a pup on one’s head.

Since I had such fun being at your mercy in last week’s contest, here is another photo of us together. Be brilliant, be brave, be bold, and give this rather random picture a name, a title, a caption, or creative commentary.

Winner this week will receive a signed 8 x 10 print of one of my personal favorites: Spurs.
